Meet Vinitha Moskal

A Business Reimagineer ™

Vinitha is a Transformational Leader and Operations Architect known for turning concepts into viable business opportunities. As the Founder and CEO of SmartCost Inc, she helps companies reimagine, revitalize and realize corporate vision by leveraging an effective blend of strategy, innovation, and operational excellence expertise to build value and optimize performance in the era of Industry 4.0.

Vinitha has more than 25 years of global operations management and strategic leadership experience that spans multiple industries, continents, and functions. She has held numerous key roles in Fortune 100 and privately held companies. In her most recent position as Vice President of Supply Chain and Operational Excellence at Preferred Sands, a global frac sand producer and technology company, she created the end-to-end supply chain network, developed automation and controls strategies for three new plants, and served as an active member of the steering committee to prepare the firm for the Initial Public Offering.

Vinitha’s passion is grounded in her mechanical engineering background. She obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras in India. She’s a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Associate Value Specialist (CVS). Vinitha believes in continuous learning to stay relevant and sharp in her skills. She recently completed Business Analytics: from Data to Insights from The Wharton School Executive Education program and Internet of Things: Business Implications to Opportunities from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Her passion to share her knowledge with private-public partnership programs has led to speaking engagements focusing on Industry 4.0 – its building blocks, challenges and opportunities. Her most recent article ‘Re-imagining DOF with 4.0 and Big Data’ was published in the CIO Insights magazine (November 2019).

She currently resides in Pennsylvania with her family. She loves the arts and has enjoyed hiking since her high school days. She has two rescue dogs and would adopt all animals in need of a loving home if she could!
